Just like Moneyball, it’s the numbers that matter.

100 MILLION AMATEUR SPORTS GAMES ARE PLAYED IN THE U.S. EVERY YEAR...AND ALL OF THEM NEED OFFICIALS.
Silbo enables leagues and tournaments to set specific criteria for the officials they need – at every level – from youth games, to Parks & Rec, to high school, collegiate and adult leagues. Silbo takes care of all the paperwork and scheduling logistics.
THERE ARE 1.5 MILLION SPORTS OFFICIALS IN THE U.S. OFFICIATING IS A $12 BILLION INDUSTRY.
Officials are “the third team” out there, with well over a million members. They’ve earned their stripes -- showing up rain or shine; dealing with parents, fans, players and coaches. Research shows that they would like to officiate more games and earn more money. They’re also looking for a sense of community and more efficiency in assignments. Silbo delivers both.
"If you challenge conventional wisdom, you will find ways to do things much better than they are currently done." - Michael Lewis
SILBO SOLVES THE PROBLEM
We developed RefXchange™, a purpose-built technology platform that matches supply and demand for officials – an online marketplace that connects officials with games and includes bells and whistles (!) like automatic payments and tax paperwork.
SPORTS OFFICIALS: THE NEWEST EXPANSION TEAM
Silbo launched in North Carolina and we’re expanding throughout the Southeast and mid-Atlantic, recruiting refs and leagues. We’re building a marketplace that lets officials earn more by managing their own schedules and we’re enabling leagues and tournaments to set specific criteria for the officials they need – eliminating hours of headaches, endless phone calls and texts. We take care of all the paperwork, including dealing with tax forms. We also help officials build their resumes, which in turn, helps them get more games.
We are on track to close out 2018 in ten metro areas, including Raleigh (NC), Richmond (VA) and Jacksonville (FL). Our plan is set for 24 cities by the end of 2021.
